Keys to the Chicago Bulls bouncing back against the Hornets: Slowing down Terry Rozier

With all due respect to Devonte’ Graham, who the Bulls will also need to slow down in this one, the top priority and point of emphasis will be Terry Rozier. The Bulls have a hard time across the board defensively, but opposing guards have seemed to make the Bulls defense struggle especially hard.

Rozier will look to capitalize on the matchup without a doubt. The 27-year-old guard is having a career year and is a huge part of the Hornets success so far this season.

Not only is Rozier scoring the ball at a career-high clip, but he is also shooting it at a career-high clip from the field. Add to that his above 40 percent three-point shooting for the second straight season and you have all the makings of someone ready to carve this Bulls defense up.

For Chicago, it will be crucial to not let him get going from the outside. Easier said than done because he can easily get himself in a rhythm with attacks to the basket that the Bulls have been vulnerable to all season.

Billy Donovan needs someone on his team to step up early and often in doing their best to take Rozier out of this game. Whether it be Garrett Temple or Patrick Williams, one of those two needs to prevent the Hornets guard from getting into a rhythm early.

The Hornets are shorthanded, most notably missing stud rookie LaMelo Ball. That doesn’t mean they are incapable of getting it done offensively, though, especially against a defense as bad as this Bulls defense is.
