Sharpshooter free agents for the Chicago Bulls to pursue: Allen Crabbe
A once stable career for the 29-year-old Los Angeles, CA, native and 6-foot-5 and 215 pound shooting guard/wing Allen Crabbe with the Portland Trail Blazers has turned into anything but in the last three years. Since the Trail Blazers dealt Crabbe to the Brooklyn Nets for Andrew Nicholson back during the 2017 offseason, he’s found himself playing for three different teams.
Since the start of the 2017-18 season, Crabbe has played for the Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Atlanta Hawks. The most sustained stretch he had with a single team during that span of time was with the Nets. He played in more than 110 career regular season games over the course of two years with the Nets.
For his career in total up to this point, Crabbe has played in more than 380 regular season games. In that span of games, he averaged 9.1 points per game, 2.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks. He shot 42.5 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 83.1 percent from the free-throw line.
The last team that Crabbe played for was the Timberwolves, for nine games prior to the pause last season. He hasn’t found himself playing in a single regular season game this year. That could all change with one team that needs to add a sharpshooter at the two-guard or in their wing rotation.
