The way that the Chicago Bulls are playing since the trade deadline, outside of a few key wins, hasn’t lived up to the billing one bit after a huge day changing the roster back on March 25. First-year executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley made a lot of moves back on deadline day last month to try and put this roster in more of a win-now mode.

The main problem for first-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls is that a combination of injury issues and a lack of unified team chemistry since the deadline has hampered their success in the win column. Donovan and the Bulls have won just five games in their 15 since the trade deadline passed.

Putting the Bulls record at just 5-10 since the trade deadline is not really acceptable for how much they gave up to upgrade this roster. Landing the likes of star big man Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic, center Daniel Theis from the Boston Celtics, shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr. from the Washington Wizards, etc. was supposed to help upgrade this roster.

Instead, the Bulls have largely faltered in the almost one-month long span since the deadline came and went.

Turning to free agency for help for the Chicago Bulls

One source, in particular, that might be able to help provide the spark that this team needs is hitting the free agent market to try and upgrade the rotation. The Bulls really don’t have many other viable options if they want to legitimately change the rotation at this point in time. Clearly, a lot of the rotation shuffling that Donovan has done thus far this season hasn’t worked out consistently.

I’ve discussed the possibility of the Bulls generically hitting the free agent market for immediate help during the buyout window and to land a player on a 10-day contract. But more specifically this Bulls team could use help from someone that fits the role of a veteran sharpshooter that can provide stability on both ends of the floor and in the locker room.

Here’s a look into four potential free agent targets that could fit that role for the Bulls.
