The star that every Bulls fan couldn’t wait to see post-trade deadline was the 30-year-old former Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic. Karnisovas and the Bulls snagged Vucevic in a deadline day deal with the Magic that also landed them veteran forward Al-Farouq Aminu.

In return, the Bulls shipped off two first round draft picks, third-year center Wendell Carter Jr., and small forward Otto Porter Jr. Losing that much draft capital was certainly a risky move for Karnisovas, but we’ll see how it pays off in the end.

Vooch was out of rhythm at times in his first few games in a Bulls uniform, but he’s looking much more comfortable of late. He’s played a huge role in helping to establish this three-game winning streak that the team is currently riding. In each of the three games that the Bulls won this week, Vooch scored at least 22 points. And he registered a double-double in two of them.

Just look at the impact that Vooch has on winning games for both the Magic and Bulls this season. He averages three more points per game in wins over losses (26), one more rebound (12), and 1.5 more assists (5). And he shoots much better from the field and from deep too.

Patience looks to have won the day so far for Bulls fans just waiting to see the positive impact that Vooch could have for this team. The combination of the two-time former Magic All-Star center and first-time All-Star shooting guard Zach LaVine is something that could be special for the Bulls down the stretch this season.
