Just a couple of years ago, it felt like the former North Carolina Tar Heel and 6-foot-8 and 220 pound small forward Justin Jackson was set to become a key rotation player for the Dallas Mavericks for a long time. At just 26 years of age, though, Jackson was already dumped off by the Mavericks on the trade market, and bought out by his last team.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were the team that Jackson played for this season. He’s now played for three different teams over the course of his four-year-long NBA career. It all started for former 15th overall pick of the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft with the Kings for two years. He then spent two decent years with head coach Rick Carlisle and the Mavs.

In the current season, Jackson played in just under three dozen games with the Thunder. In his 33 games played with the Thunder this season prior to getting waived back on April 5, Jackson averaged 7.2 points per game, 2.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks. And he shot 40.6 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Jackson is known to be a fairly switchable and versatile offensive weapon that the Bulls could slot in their wing rotation. There are not many true wings that the Bulls have in the mix right now behind rookie forward Patrick Williams that could be a true offensive spark plug and a threat from deep in the catch-and-shoot game as Jackson could be for them.
