The first name on this list is one that the Bulls should watch to see if he could hit the buyout market by the morning of April 9 is the newly acquired Houston Rockets veteran guard Avery Bradley. The reigning NBA Champion and career journeyman Bradley could still hit the buyout market, but the Rockets might also see if he can help mentor some of their young players.

At the moment, the Rockets sit well outside of the playoff picture in the Western Conference. In fact, they have a much better chance to get the first overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery than they do to make the playoffs at this point of the season.

Bradley started out this season playing for the Miami Heat but was dealt to the Heat around the trade deadline. The deal that brought guard Victor Oladipo to the Heat from the Rockets is what landed Bradley in Space City. And since the March 25 trade deadline, Bradley has played in a half dozen games for the Rockets.

For the season in total, Bradley averaged 7.8 points per game, 2.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.1 blocks. And he’s shot 42.3 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 72.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The solid defensive ability that I’ve talked about before with Bradley is something that could help the Bulls, especially with veteran shooting guard Garrett Temple struggling with injury of late.
