One Bulls player that definitely deserves more minutes down the stretch if the team continues to see the backcourt rotation hampered by injury issues is the former undrafted free agent and Kansas Jayhawks point guard Devon Dotson. This rookie point guard was a gem find for the Bulls’ new front office regime on the undrafted free agent market last offseason.

But to really prove what Dotson can do, the Bulls are going to have to take a risk at times and let him see the floor in-game action. If Donovan and the Bulls are willing to give additional minutes to the former Villanova Wildcats point guard Ryan Arcidiacono of late, then Dotson should get a chance in significant game action too.

Dotson has only played in three games for the Bulls so far this season and in 15 total minutes. Meanwhile, Dotson did get game action in 10 outings with the Canton Charge in the G-League bubble this season.

In his 10 G-League games, Dotson averaged 13.0 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.2 blocks. And he shot 46.7 percent from the field, 27.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 82.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls did get White back in the rotation in their April 6 win over the Pacers. But they are still missing Temple, and White is still dealing with that neck issue (at least he was in pregame yesterday before facing the Pacers). More injury issues/other absences in the backcourt rotation should be an opportunity for Dotson down the stretch.
