At this point of the regular season, the Chicago Bulls are not playing their best, despite needing to make significant headway in the Eastern Conference standings. First-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls are currently riding a six-game losing streak and have also lost eight of their last nine games.
Following their tough seven-point loss at the hands of the Utah Jazz on the road on April 2, the Bulls need to find more direction following all of the roster moves they made at the trade deadline on March 25. The Bulls now sit on a four-game losing streak since the conclusion of the trade deadline last week.
Landing the likes of star big man Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic, small forward Troy Brown Jr. from the Washington Wizards, and center Daniel Theis from the Boston Celtics, hasn’t done anything to help the Bulls find more success in the win column quite yet. The Bulls look to still be figuring things out, and it makes sense to “trust the process” down the stretch.
Finding optimism for the Chicago Bulls down the stretch
At least the Bulls are remaining competitive with a lot of tough teams in this Western Conference road trip. Facing a hot San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors team, along with the Phoenix Suns and Jazz does not make for an easy task. Patience needs to win the day for this Bulls fan base as Donovan continues to figure out this new-look roster.
Nonetheless, changes do look like they still need to be made within the rotation down the stretch. Which Bulls players are currently playing well for Donovan and deserve to stay in the spotlight down the stretch?
