Zach LaVine – All NBA Third Team

There’s no question an All NBA selection is one of the highest honours that can be bestowed upon a player in any given season. Whether it be the first, second or third team, being recognized as one of the 15 best players in the league (kind of) is a form of respect that is cherished by all recipients. And this year, LaVine might have a good enough case to pull it off.

With averages of 27.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, LaVine has elevated his scoring and leadership to heights that have never been seen before from him. On top of this, he is shooting a lethal 51.3 percent from the field and a ridiculous 42.8 percent from three (good for 18th in the league).

If LaVine can lead this team into the playoffs (which is more than possible), then it would be hard to deny him a spot on an All-NBA team. He is an elite scorer and is doing so at an efficient rate, and he has continued to improve in all other facets of the game.

But despite having an All-NBA caliber year, there is a big possibility that there are simply too many guards ahead of him who take up all the spots. But that shouldn’t take away from the exceptional season he is having, and if LaVine can continue to improve like he has been every season, he will find himself a lock on these teams for years to come.
