A former Bulls player that most forget about at this point in time is the former 13th overall pick in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft of the Philadelphia 76ers, and 36-year-old Swiss shooting guard/small forward Thabo Sefolosha. It’s also hard to believe that the 6-foot-6 and 215 pound two-way wing Thabo has already been around in the league for 14 years.

Thabo actually began his NBA career under the direction of former head coach Scott Skiles and the Bulls back during the 2006-07 season. Although he was drafted by the Sixers in the 2006 lottery, Sefolosha made his NBA debut with the Bulls. Sefolosha would wind up playing for the Bulls for roughly two and a half seasons prior to getting dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2008-09 regular season.

The only two teams that Sefolosha played in more regular season games for than the Bulls were the Thunder and and Atlanta Hawks. In more than 180 career regular season games played with the Bulls for three years, Sefolosha averaged 5.0 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks. And he shot 42.8 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 68.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The last team that Sefolosha played for was the Houston Rockets, in 41 games during the 2019-20 regular season. He still was a solid one-on-one perimeter/wing defender and good rebounder last season. In two prior years with the Utah Jazz, Sefolosha was a solid three-point shooter too. Any team that needs some veteran help among their wing defense should look to Thabo this season.
