As of the late afternoon of April 3, the free agent market around the NBA landscape is about to heat up about as much as it will at any point of the regular season. And the Chicago Bulls could be one of the players on the free agent/buyout market this season if first-year head coach Billy Donovan and the new front office regime are set on pushing for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference this year.
Hitting the buyout market is a position that the Bulls were not in for a good while now. Since the Bulls originally tore it all down and started to rebuild roughly four years ago under the direction of the former front office duo of John Paxson and Gar Forman, the team remained out of the playoff picture in the East for three seasons.

This is the first season where the Bulls also have a roster that looks like it can contend to at least make it to the first or second (if they potentially pull off an upset in the postseason) of the playoffs since the mid-2010s.

Looking back on what moves the Bulls made in the past, or lack thereof, to try and build up the roster could clue in on what could happen this season.
There’s also a good number of former Bulls players that can still contribute around the league’s landscape that could be signed in the near future. Maybe those players could also be an option for the Bulls this year. Either way, here’s a look into 10 former Bulls players that are still trying to find a home out of free agency in 2021.
