Chicago Bulls front office took a chance and won the draft

First-year front office pairing of executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley beat all the odds by landing one of the best young power forwards in the league. Luck only plays a small part in why these young make it to this level.

Even as a shocking number four pick coming from Florida State as a backup forward, Williams has played as advertised by the front office in their first draft pick together. More impressive is he was not on any draft boards heading into last year’s draft. Just a shy quiet kid from North Carolina.

Williams has embraced his role on this Bulls team already in his rookie season. He has solidified his place in the starting lineup. He may be a shy quiet kid but trust me, his game is loud and he has shown us that we have a young, upcoming Allstar on our hands.

He is a very special talent, he is also the future of this organization next to All-Star shooting guard Zach LaVine. He has tremendous basketball talent, with an IQ and maturity that is rare. Williams has all the traits of what it takes to be one of the best players in the league.

His defense is already as advanced as a veteran. Williams has the ability to guard one through five, whether on the ball or off he is a lockdown defender with limitless room for even more growth. He shows a work ethic that could help him grow into the player he has dreamed to become since a child.
