A lot of moves were made by the Chicago Bulls new front office regime on trade deadline day this year, March 25, that greatly reshaped the construction of the roster. First-year executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley put together a roster that is more ready to win-now than it was prior to the deadline last week.

Now first-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls could contend for a decent seed in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference with the talent present on this roster. The problem is that the Bulls are still suffering from a lack of depth in the rotation when injuries start to pile up.

Reflection time for the Chicago Bulls

You could look back and question the decisions that the new front office regime made to part ways with so many depth pieces on the roster at the deadline with injuries piling up now. But when losing becomes a trend, hindsight can always be 20-20.

Nonetheless, it is worth looking back to see which former Bulls players are finding the most success elsewhere. Given a high level of roster attrition the last few years (really since the rebuild first began back during the 2017 offseason), there’s a lot of former Bulls players on other rosters that are serving in various roles at this point in time.

Karnisovas and the Bulls can use this reflection point in terms of which of their former players are now finding success with other NBA teams to figure out what the best way to construct this roster in the future will be. Here’s a look at three former Bulls players that are finding success with their current teams in 2021.
