Chicago Bulls: 3 players that deserve to get less playing time
On the night of March 31, first-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls fell short at the hands of the Phoenix Suns and the star backcourt duo of veteran point guard Chris Paul and volume scoring shooting guard Devin Booker. The Bulls played well, despite missing star shooting guard Zach LaVine due to an ankle injury, but still fell short to the Suns by the final score of 121-116.
Donovan and the Bulls look like they could turn the corner soon, especially after all of the big deadline moves that were made back on March 25. First-year executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley made some good moves at the deadline to bolster this roster.
Other changes on the way for the Chicago Bulls
However, those roster moves that Karnisovas and Eversley made at the deadline haven’t show up in terms of success in the win column just yet. The Bulls now have a five-game losing streak following their loss to the Suns on the final day of March, and a three-game skid since the conclusion of the trade deadline last week.
Winning needs to start happening soon if the Bulls still want to remain in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference down the stretch this season. They currently hold a record of 19-27 after their March 31 road loss to Phoenix.
Rotational changes look like they will be a regularity down the stretch for Donovan as he tries to continue to get this Bulls team figured out. Here’s a look into three players that should be getting less playing time down the stretch, especially once this team gets healthier than they are now.
