Players that could help the playoff push No. 1: Jabari Parker

A potentially not so welcome addition to this list is a former Bulls forward and 26-year-old Chicago native Jabari Parker. The former Duke Blue Devils stud power forward was a second overall pick of the Bucks back in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft. Parker never really found any footing with any team during his NBA journey to date.

Over the course of the last three years, Parker has played for four different NBA teams. The last team he played for was the Sacramento Kings, during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. The Kings officially parted ways with Parker after the trade deadline this year, specifically on March 27.

No team has picked up Parker yet, despite a clear niche role he could serve off of most NBA benches. Donovan and the Bulls should be able to find a role for him if this match could work again after a weird end for the two parties two seasons ago.

The Bulls wound up shipping off Parker, along with power forward Bobby Portis, to the Washington Wizards back at the 2019 trade deadline for the return that consisted of veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr. At this point, the Bulls could get Parker for a much cheaper contract than they did a few offseasons ago.

Parker could be a good rebounder and offensive producer for the Bulls if they wanted to bolster the frontcourt rotation. But it would definitely be a risky move for the reaction of the fan base and the locker room.
