Prized buyout market targets No. 4: Avery Bradley

A target that could make a lot of sense on the buyout market for Karnisovas and the Bulls in the very near future is one that would really help them out with their perimeter defending. The career journeyman and now former Miami Heat guard Avery Bradley didn’t get much playing time so far this season, but he’s going to be a highly sought-after buyout market target.

But it was Bradley that was dealt from the Heat to the Houston Rockets in the trade that landed the former Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder standout guard Victor Oladipo in South Bech. Bradley is not guaranteed to be bought out by the Rockets at this point, but it’s more likely than not that he will hit the open market in the near future.

Bradley brings a plethora of valuable defensive prowess and postseason experience to the table. He won his first NBA Championship last year with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, as a rotational guard. And he could very well land with a good playoff contender again this year. It all depends on what the Rockets want to do with him.

All in all, the Bulls are going to need some help with their perimeter defending given that star shooting guard Zach LaVine, second-year point guard Coby White, and combo guard Tomas Satoransky aren’t the most capable trio on that end of the floor. Bradley would greatly help this backcourt rotation to know what it takes to win in the playoffs on defense, along with veteran shooting guard Garrett Temple.
