Chicago Bulls 2nd best trade asset: Coby White

The least likely Chicago Bull to be moved on this list but someone who must be included is guard Coby White. He is as close to being included with the players left off the list as possible but didn’t join them simply because there’s no reason to assume he can’t be moved.

That being said, if the Bulls went all-in on buying at the deadline or in the coming offseason, White would be one of their best trade assets to include in a deal. He recently moved to a bench role, which is more about the structure of the Bulls roster than a sign of his abilities on the floor. The North Carolina product still has immense upside and a spot in the NBA for years to come.

White is still learning on the fly after only starting one game in his rookie campaign. That may be part of the reason his play eventually led Billy Donovan to move him to the bench. White is best when he is a scorer first. That has always been the case with him and any expectation of him to become an old school point guard is unfair. His natural scoring tendencies are part of the reason his fit is less than ideal next to a stud scorer in Zach LaVine.

He has already proven he can score the ball at the NBA level. In the modern NBA, a scoring guard is always going to hold value, especially when they’re not bad at getting teammates involved too. White would be desired by a number of teams even in today’s NBA that has a ton of scoring guards.

He is the first player on the list that would bring a great return in almost any trade if the Bulls were to pursue one. Whether it be for draft capital or a veteran player, Coby White has great value on the trade market.
