The Chicago Bulls appear to be one of the NBA’s more active teams as we near the March 25 NBA trade deadline. It makes sense they are active given their performance on the season and the quality players they have that other teams desire.

Whether it is veterans that can help contenders or young players that might just need a change of scenery, the Bulls have their fair share of players that will draw interest around the league. This won’t just stop at this year’s deadline, as most of these players will maintain their trade value into the coming offseason and beyond.

It is good to gauge the value of each player not only for this year’s deadline but also to see how that value changes as the season progresses. Players that are hung onto and not traded need to at least maintain their value the rest of the way, but ideally they would increase their value as they are put in positions to succeed by head coach Billy Donovan.

One thing absolutely no one wants to see is a player kept but his value decreasing over the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign. While that’s always possible, it’s something that would ideally be avoided for obvious reasons. Here, we are taking a look at the Bulls top five trade assets ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

We won’t include players or assets that will not be moved barring a major change in management’s approach. That includes any upcoming draft selections in addition to players such as Zach LaVine, Patrick Williams and Thaddeus Young.

The rest of the roster is fair game. The approach here is rating player’s value based on how other teams view them. Things like contract, experience and skill set are among the many factors that determine the worth of a player on the trade market. Here’s how the top five Bulls trade assets come in, starting with number five.
