Next steps for the Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine

He has shown it off the court as well, he is an upstanding citizen and an outstanding role model. LaVine is a coach’s dream come true and beloved by his teammates. Bulls’ fans have been waiting for this version of LaVine to finally arrive!

When talking with reporters at the All-Star game he seemed very aware of what’s at stake and sounded like he was already prepared and up for whatever adversity that comes his way.

"A confident Zach LaVine  said “Once you reach this, you have a certain stature. And you want to up hold that.”"

He sounds like he knows what time it is!

Can the Chicago Bulls and All-Star Zach LaVine continue to get better?

LaVine has tremendous talent on the offensive end, he is super-efficient and will continue to grow his game in the second half of the season. LaVine should continue his over 50 percent shooting clinic and may vey well end the season averaging over 30 points per game before the end of this season.

All it is going to take for LaVine to continue his upwards trend is to just keep doing what he has been doing all season long. Staying aggressive on the offensive end and allowing the game to come to him, take what the defense gives him.

I would like to see LaVine be more aggressive from the jump ball, helping this Bulls team to start games fast and to try to limit his turnovers. Not waiting to long to take over a game will be important, He can also start making better decisions on his shot selection. Especially early in the shot clock of possessions.

By being more efficient in his shot selection, it should give him a few easier buckets and most importantly opens the floor for his teammates. I want to see him working on his mid-range game as we inch closer to a possible battle for a playoff spot.

Finding his signature move should be LaVine’s next development. Being able to find his go to spot in late game situation should and needs to be a focus going forward. Closing teams out in the fourth quarter can be a much easier task is he can slow the game down.

Closing out games will be LaVine’s most critical challenge the rest of this season. With the back end of the schedule much tougher than the first half, every win is important, and we cannot take our foot off the gas. Losing close games is not an option to this point.

I suspect we will continue to be in clutch games as the Bulls have become very competitive and one of the most fun teams to watch. Winning these clutch games will only make this young team more fun to watch but it will give them those much-needed wins as we make this playoff push.

Most importantly this will help this young teams confidence, in return it will help them turn the table and begin to learn how to win on a nightly basis. We have been in almost every game this season the next step is to finish these close games.
