1) Chicago Bulls 2021 All-Star FA targets

Chris Paul, Point Guard

That aforementioned need for the Bulls to fill their point guard next could definitely happen off the free agent market next offseason. While second-year former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White still could have a very bright future with this Bulls young core, he doesn’t look to be the floor general of the future for this franchise.

An option that could both fill this short term need as a true quality starting point guard, that also could mentor White in the coming years, is the current Phoenix Suns veteran star Chris Paul. This fellow North Carolina native and former Wake Forest Demon Deacon has showed how valuable his veteran presence really is in the last two years between his time with the Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Suns are the most improved team in the NBA this season, largely thanks to the addition of CP3 and the continued to rise superstardom of Booker. The Suns now hold a record of 24-11 at the All-Star Break, good for second place in the Western Conference standings.

CP3 is set to be an unrestricted free agent that has a player option that he could pick up during the looming 2021 offseason. He’s going to be a highly sought after commodity that the Bulls could really use in the mix as soon as next season.

While CP3 would by no means be a long-term solution for the Bulls out of free agency next offseason, he could elevate their contender status in the Eastern Conference in the near future. So far this season, he’s averaged 16.0 points per game, 4.7 rebounds, a whopping 8.8 assists, while shooting 48.6 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from beyond the arc, and 95.4 percent from the free-throw line.
