It is on March 7 that the NBA landscape will watch as the All-Star Game (among a number of other important events) takes place at the home of the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena in Georgia. And the Chicago Bulls fan base will finally have a player to root for in the actual festivities surrounding the NBA All-Star Game.

This year, the Bulls were able to break the franchise’s four year drought without a single All-Star selection when star shooting guard Zach LaVine got the call back on Feb. 23. LaVine was the first All-Star selection for the Bulls franchise since their former star shooting guard/small forward Jimmy Butler got the call back in 2017.

This will be a special moment for LaVine, who gets his first career All-Star nod as he’s having another career year for the Bulls. A lot of people could validly argue that LaVine deserved to be an All-Star selection, when the festivities were hosted at the United Center in Chicago, last year. But that never came to be.

What this will also be an opportunity for LaVine to do is start planting the seeds to recruit future free agent talent to the Windy City. This is something of an All-Star pastime, especially during the era of all of these Big 3’s that keep forming around the NBA.

While it has died down a bit in terms of superstar talent, the 2021 free agent class is still ripe with possibilities for Arturas Karnisovas and the Bulls this year. Here’s a look at three potential All-Star free agent targets for the Bulls this year.
