Brooklyn Nets

The hottest team around the Eastern Conference landscape at the moment is the Brooklyn Nets. The superstar trio of forward Kevin Durant, point guard Kyrie Irving, and guard James Harden, is now getting it done at a new level for the Nets. And head coach Steve Nash is proving to be a rising star in the NBA coaching ranks at the midway point of this season.

KD has missed some time of late for the Nets, but this team could be even more potent once he returns to the mix. Harden and Kyrie are thriving at a level most thought they would not be able to together this fast after the former of those two stars arrived in Brooklyn from the Houston Rockets.

The Bulls would make for very interesting trade partners with the Nets. There’s a chance that there could be a 1-8 or 2-7 matchup in the playoffs this year (at least by the way the standings appear now) between the Bulls and Nets. Giving Young up to the Nets would obviously present a conflict of interest in that regard.

Moreover, the Nets do still have some interesting trade chips that could get Karnisovas and the Bulls to the table. But just like it wouldn’t come easy for the Heat to nab Young ahead of the trade deadline next month, the Nets would have to divest a lot of their assets in terms of player trade chips and/or future draft capital.
