Chicago Bulls: 3 playmaking PG’s that could be trade targets
1) Chicago Bulls playmaker PG trade targets
Kyle Lowry, Point Guard
If the option that Karnisovas and the Bulls wanted to go with at the trade deadline to fill a need at the point guard position was among the proven veterans, there’s a few names that could stick out. One that would be a fairly new addition to this sort of discussion would be the Toronto Raptors veteran standout point guard Kyle Lowry.
Given that the Raptors are largely trying to move their franchise into a new era, with a new face of the franchise in star forward Pascal Siakam, Lowry could be on his way out of Ontario soon. But Lowry comes with a hefty price tag that could cost the Bulls for the rest of the year. An idea that the Bulls could piece something together that sends veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr. could be something to build off of.
Trading for Lowry could knock out two birds with one stone for the Bulls. They could find a true veteran mentor for White over the short term, that could hopefully help him grow his game consistently over the long haul. And the Bulls would get a point guard that could complement the game of LaVine pretty well.
Although he’s having a down season by his usual considerations, the six-time NBA All-Star selection Lowry is still productive and efficient for the Raptors through 27 games played. He’s averaged 18.0 points per game, 5.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks. Lowry shot an improved 46.6 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 86.3 percent from the free-throw line.
