Ahead of the March 25 trade deadline, the Chicago Bulls new front office regime will have a few decisions to make in regards to the future of this team and this rebuild as a whole. The Bulls are currently in the midst of the fourth year of their lengthy rebuild. And it is up to first-year executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley to give head coach Billy Donovan the tools he needs to succeed in the short term and over the long haul.

At the moment, the Bulls are improving, but they need some help at a few spots before they can truly take their game to the next level. The rise of star shooting guard and first-time All-Star selection Zach LaVine this season helps in giving the Bulls a real shot at making the playoffs, likely somewhere between a sixth and seventh seed, in a good scenario this year.

Yet, until the Bulls can get another dynamic playmaker to shoulder some of the load on the offensive end of the floor outside of LaVine, they will continue to find themselves struggling at times. Second-year point guard Coby White isn’t giving the Bulls offense the spark it needs from their starting one at this point in time.

If White continues to fall short of what Donovan and the Bulls need to have a successful offense starting from the point guard position, then Karnisovas and Eversley will be forced to turn elsewhere to find answers. At least if the Bulls can find an answer at the trade deadline next month, which players should be in that discussion in particular?
