As this 2020-21 Chicago Bulls season continues to unfold and constantly evolving in the right direction, I find myself optimistic that we are literally a player or two away from being a top seeded Eastern Conference team.

Things have progressed in dramatic fashion this past month. Zach LaVine has turned into the franchise player we all knew he would become. They are the sixth seed currently and are starting to close out games in a winning manner.

A win now move might very well speed this lengthy rebuild up. Not only for this season but the next five if the  front office plays their cards right. There are two players that the Bulls should be big time buyers on.

A win now bold move for the Chicago Bulls

Andre Drummond could bring a major need in the interior for the Bulls. His defense could give them that dominant force we lack on the defensive side. His rebounding only helps the Bulls both offensively and defensively.

Second chance points from offensive rebounds he would contribute could boost their already potent offensive attack. Drummond is a very underrated scorer too; he is physical and does not demand the ball in order to be effective.

The Bulls would not have to run plays for him but could utilized his passing ability along with his ability to roll to the basket and finish it would be a nightly dunk contest on Madison.

Wendell Carter Jr. would not only learn from his veteran leadership, but it also gives the Bulls two solid defenders in the interior. Also pairing Drummond with our already All-Star LaVine would be a blockbuster move for the new front office.

It would be a bold move; a move fans would not expect. It would show that the Bulls are looking to build a contender, a move that big could possibly start attracting free agents this summer.

Especially if Drummond lands in Chicago with brute force and takes the city by storm. The Bulls start to get better and make a playoff run. Anything is possible why not dream big!

He would be expensive for us, but he would be worth the financial burden. Patrick Williams is the Bulls next star; the Bulls could find themselves starting three All-Stars every night for years to come.

Low risk high reward move for the Chicago Bulls

Another player the Bulls should be in buy mode on is Victor Oladipo. It is a much cheaper route then a max or near max player but Oladipo has way more upside than a max level player.

He is still finding his way back from that gruesome injury and was traded to Houston where he is not exactly maximizing his potential. A fresh start with a good front office and great coaching might help him on his journey back to his pre-injury days.

He is a free agent at the end of the season, maybe the move motivates him, and he plays like an All-Star again for the Bulls and they could find a way to resign him to a long-term deal in the offseason.

His salary would be off the books no matter what happens, so it is a win win for the Bulls. He would make the Bulls a better team and help push them to a higher playoff seed.

Who knows Oladipo’s presence could be what the Bulls have been lacking in that true number two behind LaVine? I do not think we have seen the best of Oladipo, and we all know LaVine is only going to continue to get better.

The duo would become one of the best backcourts in the league with LaVine and Oladipo sharing the court dominating opposing defenses.  The Bulls would end the season with three players in the starting lineup possibly averaging 20 plus points per game.

Next. 3 All-Star trade deadline targets. dark

No one knows what the front offices plans are but silence will not last forever something will be coming!
