1) All-Stars Chicago Bulls could target at the deadline
Nikola Vucevic, Center
I’ve been a huge proponent of Karnisovas and the Bulls trying to find a way to get the star 30-year-old 6-foot-11 and 260 pound Swiss center Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic all year long. Vucevic is an established star that just got his second career All-Star nod, and his second in the last three years.
While it doesn’t look like the Magic are planning to shop Vucevic openly ahead of the trade deadline next month, it might not take the most lucrative offer ever for the Bulls at least to get their front office to the table. Vucevic is vastly underrated around the league, and is someone that could offer a ton of value to the Bulls frontcourt.
Considering what an established star big man, and someone was underrated around the NBA landscape, like Vucevic would bring to the table, the fans would have to get excited. He’s got the ability to hit the glass hard on both ends of the floor, create his own shots even from deep, and is an ever improving passer from the post.
Vucevic is having a career year for himself on both ends of the floor this season. He’s averaged 23.9 points per game, 11.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.7 blocks. And Vucevic shot 47.9 percent from the field, 39.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 83.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Landing Vucevic would likely mean taking more of a win now mentality for the Bulls. That would likely also mean that the Bulls have to part ways with some part of the trio of WCJ, Markkanen, and small forward Otto Porter Jr.
