The Chicago Bulls must have read my keys to a victory, prior to the game last night. They were firing on all cylinders! It was one of the most exciting performances from the Bulls all season! Whatever was said before tip off, needs to be repeated before every game.

They played physical and came prepared. That wasn’t the case this past Monday, they looked ready for redemption from a tough loss. Billy Donovan had the Bulls prepared and looking like a different team. The Bulls played great team defense and kept Brandon Ingram in check for most of the night. He ended the game with 21 points on 6-of-19 shooting.

Zion Williamson played a good game with 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting. It just wasn’t enough, the Pelicans were just outplayed. The Bulls controlled the boards against one of the leading offensive rebounding teams in the league.

The Bulls shared the ball, getting everyone involved and allowed the team to end the game with 36 assists on 48 made field goals. The Bulls shot an impressive 59 percent from the field. It was a very dominant and needed win after that close loss to the Wizards, the game before.

A Record Night For The Ages for the Chicago Bulls

They were the first NBA team to have two players with eight-plus three-point field goals in a game. The Bulls were sailing and it was raining 3’s in Chicago! I was mesmerized and enjoying the sweet life of Zach LaVine and Coby White.

Another record was broken on Madison St. thanks to the marksmanship of the backcourt duo, the Bulls beat the team record for three-pointers, hitting 25-47 attempts at an efficient rate of 53.2 percent. It was just spectacular to witness shots that were falling all night for the home team, especially LaVine and White.

Denzel Valentine has looked solid as of late. He’s put together five straight, double digit games, in a row. Daniel Gafford’s defensive presence was key to stop the bleeding in the paint and his aggressiveness helped slow down the Pelicans.

Aggressive Coby shoots out of his slump hitting 10-of-20 field goals with 30 points. He also shot 8-17 from beyond the arc with seven assists. If Coby continues this hot shooting, he could be the key to the Bulls success. Coby looks to be building resiliency, he’s up to challenge all of his doubters.

"Will Perdue said it best. “Someone on the bulls coaching staff needs to tape a picture of Lonzo Ball on Coby Whites locker every game!” The trade rumors may have played a role in Whites big night."

Zach had a huge game scoring a season high, with 46 points. Shooting 17-of-25 from the field, 9-14 from three, seven rebounds and four assists. Zach seems committed to becoming the leader the Bulls need. He refused to lose this one! He showed up on both ends of the floor by having his best defensive night of the season.

Let’s just hope that they can capitalize on this win. The Bulls have an even bigger challenge ahead when the, Kawhi-led, Los Angeles Clippers face the Bulls on Feb 12th for another home game. The Clippers have won 6 straight games against them.

Next. 3 injury prone players that could be gone soon. dark

With all my doubts and frustration this season, the Bulls played great last night! Zach continues to play like an All-Star. They showed that they are capable of playing good team defense! The Bulls were hot last night! I hope they dress warm because, it’s freezing cold here in the Windy City! Brace yourself because the Bulls might be taking us for another wild ride on Friday night!
