The recent trade rumors surrounding the Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Pelicans 6-foot-6 and 190 pound 23-year-old point guard Lonzo Ball should bring a lot of intrigue to the table for fans in the Windy City. Lonzo would really help to solve the Bulls point guard woes, as second-year former North Carolina Tar Heel Coby White isn’t really getting it done so far this season.

It would not surprise many around the NBA landscape if the Pelicans were to part ways with Ball in the near future. Their future looks to largely revolve around the likes of small forward Brandon Ingram and forward Zion Williamson. Other guards like Ball and veteran sharpshooter JJ Redick could be off the team by the time the trade deadline arrives this season.

In a recent episode of “The Hoop Collective” podcast with ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst this week, the Ball trade rumor was discussed. And that rumor involves the Bulls as a potential big market landing spot, if that is in fact where Ball wants to take his talents to next. And obviously the Pelicans would have to find common ground in reasonable trade discussions for any of this to actually happen.

The Bulls do need help at the point guard position, and getting a true two-way playmaker as their floor general like Ball could help to dramatically boost the rotation as a whole. There’s not a clear option that the Bulls have at the one in their starting five right now.

With all of this in mind, here’s a look into three potential trade packages that the Bulls could put together with the Pelicans to get Lonzo into the mix.
