1) Chicago Bulls with concerning dips in play

Coby White, Point Guard

The most notable player that is struggling of late for the Bulls young core is the second-year former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard and Goldsboro, NC, native Coby White. The Bulls seventh overall pick from the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft had a roller coaster ride in terms of production and efficiency out of the gates this season.

While the per game stats do look improved of late for White in his second year, the overall efficiency is actually trending down. And White started to really hit a low point in the last few games. The only two game scores that White posted in the negative this season have come in the span of the last five games.

There was even a point when White had a zero point game, which came in the Bulls 16 point win over superstar point guard Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks back on Jan. 17. He’s also scored more than a dozen points in just half of the Bulls last six games. The hot stretch that White found down the stretch last season has largely faded early this season.

In total so far this season, White has played in all 17 games for the Bulls (all of which he’s started in), averaging around 34 minutes on the floor per game. And he’s averaged 15.2 points per game, 4.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.1 blocks, and 2.7 turnovers. White shot 40.0 percent from the field, 35.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line.
