Yet another Chicago Bulls game is getting pushed back due to novel coronavirus related issues on their opposition’s side. First-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls now have two games pushed back on the season due to COVID-19 related issues. The first was supposed to come earlier this month against the Boston Celtics.

The originally scheduled Jan. 27 meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies on the road is now also getting pushed back for COVID-19 contact tracing. The Grizzlies won’t be able to practice due to the breach of the league’s health and safety protocols.

The date for which the Bulls and Grizzlies will meet up now for the game that was originally scheduled for the night of Jan. 27 is still yet to be known. This will be the fifth game in a row that the Grizzlies had pushed back due to COVID-19 related issues, and sixth in total this season.

The next scheduled game for the Grizzlies is set to come on Jan. 30 on the road against the San Antonio Spurs. They are supposed to take on the Spurs on the road for two straight games, on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1.

And the last game that the Grizzlies played in came on Jan. 18, in a win over veteran star point guard Chris Paul and the upstart Phoenix Suns by a four-point margin.

Meanwhile, the last game for the Bulls resulted in a sizable 19-point loss at the hands of the defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers at home at the United Center back on Jan. 23. And next up for the Bulls is a meeting at home with the Celtics on Jan. 25.

With their matchup against the Grizzlies originally set for Jan. 27 now pushed, the Bulls next game after the Celtics will be the Portland Trail Blazers on the night of Jan. 30.

The Bulls will carry a record of 7-9 into their meeting with the Celtics at home on Jan. 25. Their loss to the Lakers this weekend snapped a three-game winning streak they had built up the previous week.
