On the afternoon of Jan. 17, first-year head coach Billy Donovan and this slipping Chicago Bulls team will try to right the ship as they travel to face the Dallas Mavericks on the road. The Bulls did already knock off longtime head coach Rick Carlisle and the Mavericks once this season. But since that win over the Mavs, the Bulls have lost four of their last five games.

And Donovan and the Bulls do sit on a four-game losing streak heading into this Jan. 17 showdown at the American Airlines Center in Dallas against the Mavs, with tip off time set for 2 p.m. Ct. Their last game resulted in a really tough two-point overtime loss at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder back on the night of Jan. 15 on the road at Chesapeake Energy Center.

The other three losses in this four-game skid that the Bulls currently sit on came at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Sacramento Kings. Three of the four losses in this skid for the Bulls came by a margin of three points or less. The loss to the Kings also came by a margin of less than five points.

To right the ship, the Bulls need to snap this skid very soon. It won’t be easy either as the Bulls face superstar point guard Luka Doncic and the Mavs to round out the weekend. And then they get the Houston Rockets at home on Jan. 18, to round out this bit of games against Western Conference foes.

Who is to blame for this four-game losing streak that the Bulls sit on of late? Here’s a look at three players to pick out in particular that need to pick up their play very soon.
