The 2020-21 regular season begins soon for the Chicago Bulls, and a new host of breakout players could be in waiting in the fourth year of the rebuild.

Tip off is just a few days away for the Chicago Bulls and the time is right for this rebuild to move forward in its fourth year. The Bulls made a number of changes from the front office all the way down to the coaching staff over the offseason to try and shift the direction of this rebuild in a more positive sense. And the outlook for the 2020-21 regular season is brighter because of it.

This four game preseason slate for the Bulls just wrapped up on the night of Dec. 18, with a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road at the Chesapeake Energy Center. The Bulls finished up the preseason with a record of 3-1, including two wins over the Thunder and one at home over the Houston Rockets.

As a whole, Training Camp and the preseason looked to be a success for newly hired head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls. They rounded out the preseason with three straight wins, after a slow start at tip off back on Dec. 11 in a home loss at the United Center to the Rockets, by the final score of 125-104.

Now the Bulls wait for the 2020-21 regular season slate to tip off on Dec. 23 at home against the Atlanta Hawks. That will be the first opportunity for this rejuvenated Bulls team to prove themselves after a difficult premature end to last season.

During the shortened 2019-20 regular season, the Bulls finished up with a record of 22-43 under the direction of former head coach Jim Boylen, good for 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. There is more optimism surrounding this young core heading into next season.

Here’s a look into three underrated Bulls players that are ready to breakout this season.
