Improving the usage of this Chicago Bulls roster at hand will be key for Arturas Karnisovas and Billy Donovan in the fourth year of the rebuild.

I do want to preface before getting into any of the rest of this piece that I don’t advocate really for any of the players on this list to be traded up front by the Chicago Bulls this season. But I do believe that the Bulls new front office regime should still be largely sticking to the same mindset that they should’ve last offseason in that all options should be on the table to move this rebuild forward in its fourth year.

Last season, the Bulls were in a bad spot during the third year of the rebuild. Under the direction of former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman, the Bulls rebuild looked to be floundering. That’s what led management/ownership to completely change face within this organization during the 2020 offseason.

They started out with the demotion of Paxson to more of a senior advisor role. And then Arturas Karnisovas was hired to be the executive vice president of basketball operations, replacing Paxson as the lead voice in the front office. Karnisovas then promptly hired Marc Eversley to replace Forman as the general manager.

Another important hire that was made over the offseason by the Bulls was Billy Donovan to replace Jim Boylen as the next head coach.

All of these hires were made to move this rebuild forward in its fourth year, and improve the direction of this franchise as a whole. To do that successfully, the right moves still need to be made to successfully construct this roster starting this season. That could still involve parting ways with a few key players in this young core.

With all of this in mind, here’s a look at three players that are the most valuable trade chips for the Bulls heading into the 2020-21 regular season. And these players should also be considered the some of the most untouchable Bulls this season.
