1) Chicago Bulls early 2020-21 trade targets

Guard. James Harden. player. 169. Pick Analysis. Salary: $40.82 million. 1. Scouting Report

The Bulls just got done with the first two games of their four-game preseason slate. And those first two games of the preseason schedule came against the Rockets at home at the United Center. These two teams split that preseason series in Chicago one game each. But what we didn’t saw out of these two games between the Bulls and Rockets was Harden out on the floor.

With Harden holding out for a lot of Training Camp, and now the preseason, it’s become clear that he wants out of Space City if there’s a trade that the Rockets could pull off before the start of the regular season. While the list of teams that Harden would want to play for if he was traded from the Rockets keeps expanding, the Bulls are not mentioned as one of the potential landing spots.

This would be why the Bulls should at least look into the idea of Harden coming to town later this season if this team rapidly improves early in the 2020-21 campaign. If the Rockets don’t trade him soon, then he may become increasingly desperate to leave town, and thus expand his list of teams that he’d be fine landing with.

I’ve mentioned the idea of the Bulls trying to pull off a trade with the Rockets for Harden before. And while it’s not very likely at all right now, maybe it’s something that Karnisovas and Eversley could plant the seeds for as a possibility down the road. Landing a true superstar like Harden in his prime would obviously be an ideal situation for the Bulls next year.
