This coming season will be a crucial second-year for the Chicago Bulls 6-foot-5 point guard Coby White, building off his solid finish last season.

Training Camp is well underway for the Chicago Bulls at the Advocate Center to start the month of December, and the tip-off of the four-game preseason slate isn’t too far out. The Bulls began group workouts in Training Camp earlier this week, and individual player workouts began back on Dec. 1.

And the Bulls tip off their four-game preseason slate on Dec. 11 at home at the United Center against superstar guard James Harden and the Houston Rockets. The Bulls get two games at home against the Rockets and then hit the road to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Dec. 17 and 19 to round out the preseason schedule.

The regular season slate tips off for the Bulls on Dec. 23 at home against star point guard Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. The first half of the Bulls regular season schedule was released earlier in the week, so there is some clarity to what this slate will look like.

With all of this schedule for the upcoming season known for the Bulls, projecting how some of the top players in their young core becomes a bit more clear. A lot of eyes will fall on the play of second-year former North Carolina Tar Heels 20-year-old point guard Coby White this season.

Maybe the two most crucial players for the Bulls young core this season will be White and fourth-year power forward Lauri Markkanen. This will be a make-or-break year for Markkanen, entering the final year of his rookie contract. And White will be expected to take that elusive next step this season after ending his rookie campaign on a high note.

With the tip off of the Bulls preseason slate just one day away, here’s a deeper look into three bold predictions for White in his second year in the NBA.
