3) Chicago Bulls Training Camp trades

One trade partner that would make a ton of sense on the surface for the Bulls is the Denver Nuggets. Karnisovas is the former Nuggets general manager and he’s familiar with a lot of the pieces that they have in the mix. Maybe that could help him piece together a more proficient roster both for this coming season, and for the significant future of this rebuild.

But also this trade is one that the Bulls would have to be more patient on. It is one that they can brainstorm in Training Camp, but not all of the pieces will be available before three months from now. What the Bulls get out of this deal are a former draft pick of theirs and shooting guard Gary Harris, and recently signed power forward JaMychal Green.

Harris is the main piece that the Nuggets are parting ways with here. His larger contract, worth around $20 million this year, could be one that they want to get off the cap sheet. He could also bring more proficient shooting guard/wing depth for the Bulls than fellow former Michigan State Spartans shooting guard Denzel Valentine will next season.

Moreover, what the Bulls are shipping off to the Nuggets are veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr., guard Tomas Satoransky, and their 2021 second round draft pick. OPJ helps match salaries and add much needed veteran wing depth for the Nuggets. They parted ways with forward Jerami Grant by not re-signing him in this cycle of free agency this offseason, so the added wing depth would bring a lot of value to them.
