2) Chicago Bulls targets that pair with White
Definitely one of the most appealing forwards in this cycle of free agency for the Bulls should be the underrated and underpaid 6-foot-8 and 230 pound 30-year-old Los Angeles Clippers power forward JaMychal Green. The veteran former longtime Memphis Grizzlies big man is set to hit the unrestricted free agent market after his last deal expired with the Clippers.
And it doesn’t appear that the Clippers are looking to re-sign Green out of the gates in this cycle of free agency. At least there’s no reports out as of the early evening of Nov. 20 that this is what the Clippers are planning to do. Green should still draw a number of suitors given that he can play a valuable role in a frontcourt rotation off the bench.
During the shortened 2019-20 regular season with the Clippers, Green played in 63 games (starting in just one of them). He averaged 6.8 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks. And Green shot 42.9 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.
The fact that Green is a solid modern big man that spaces the floor, defends well at times on the ball, and would likely command less than $7 million per year in free agency this cycle, shows that the Bulls should be very interested in him. Signing Green would add a nice veteran presence and a lot more versatility to the frontcourt rotation.
