A potentially underrated landing spot could lie with the Chicago Bulls for the Houston Rockets superstar shooting guard James Harden.

The hottest storyline around the NBA at the moment surrounds the Houston Rockets and superstar shooting guard James Harden. The trade rumors circulating around the Rockets and their two stars, Harden and point guard Russell Westbrook, have been the talk of the town around the NBA landscape. One team that could make a pitch for either of those two Rockets stars and make an interesting discussion out of it is the Chicago Bulls.

Heading into the fourth year of the rebuild, there’s not much hope that the Bulls are going to be able to contend in the near future. They have made a lot of positive changes within the organization, but there’s still a long way to go for this rebuild to pay off in the end.

So far this offseason, the Bulls demoted the former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson and fired former general manager Gar Forman. Paxson was replaced by former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas, who takes over as the executive vice president of basketball operations. And Forman was replaced by former Philadelphia 76ers senior VP of player personnel Marc Eversley.

As it pertains to Harden actually wanting a trade, the top destinations for him are reportedly (Shams Charania of The Athletic on Twitter) the Sixers and Brooklyn Nets. Charania mentions that Harden wants to land with a contender immediately if the Rockets were to trade him in the near future.

But where else could he look if he were to really wind up getting traded out of Space City?

Here’s a look into three reasons why the Bulls could make sense as a trade destination for Harden.
