Which three prospects further down big boards in the 2020 NBA Draft class could be real gem finds with high ceilings for the Chicago Bulls?

Unless you’re picking very high in the lottery, there is no exact science to finding a perfect selection in the NBA Draft. And while the Chicago Bulls and newly hired executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas have a high pick in the 2020 NBA Draft lottery, there’s no guarantee that they will hit on whoever they select. That is especially true for their 44th overall pick in the second round of the draft (originally from the Memphis Grizzlies).

In the 2019 NBA Draft, the Bulls did pretty well it seems now to maximize the value of their two picks. They nabbed the former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White with the seventh overall pick in the first round and the former Arkansas Razorbacks center Daniel Gafford with the 38th pick in the second round. Gafford was one of the biggest gem finds of the second round, as it appears entering the 2020-21 season, and White finished out his rookie campaign on a high note.

The Bulls don’t really have a true bust in store from the last three drafts. Although, none of their previous three lottery picks have really reached the status of star or quality starter yet either. The two lottery picks (all seventh overall) prior to White for the Bulls were power forward Lauri Markkanen and center Wendell Carter Jr.

Karnisovas and Eversley have to do well to maximize the value of their fourth pick in the 2020 draft lottery. But where they can find real value is with that second round pick in the 44 slot. Here’s a look at three potential second round draft prospects with some of the highest ceilings that the Bulls could target.
