1) Who Chicago Bulls could reunite with Donovan

Pick Analysis. Power Forward. Age: 31. Markieff Morris. 20. Scouting Report. 1. player

If the Bulls are looking to add some veteran depth to the frontcourt rotation, and a winning mentality that was proven very recently, they should be able to find a quality target in free agency with the Los Angeles Lakers 31-year-old 6-foot-8 and 245 pound power forward Markieff Morris. Getting his first NBA Championship during the 2019-20 season in the bubble at Disney World, Morris has that proven winning mentality that he also made playing under Donovan with the Thunder.

The only time when Morris played under Donovan’s direction with the Thunder was back during part of the 2018-19 season. He played in 24 games with the Thunder after he was dealt from the Washington Wizards during the 2018-19 regular season (only one of which he started in). And he averaged 6.5 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks, in those two-dozen games played with the Thunder.

During the shortened 2019-20 regular season, Morris also played with two different teams. He played in 44 games (16 of which he started in) with the Detroit Pistons and 14 (one of which he started in) with the Lakers last season. Morris averaged 9.7 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks. And he shot 44.3 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 77.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Morris was an integral piece of the supporting cast around superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers during the playoff run to help the Lakers get a title last season. He’s set to be a highly valued commodity on the free agent market this offseason, when negotiations begin next week, if the Lakers don’t want to re-sign him.
