3) Chicago Bulls draft trades featuring WCJ

A very realistic team that the Bulls could get involved in trade talks with is the Warriors. Former Bulls three-time NBA Champion and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has an optimistic outlook on what his team can do heading into next season with this draft capital this year and the likes of superstar point guard Stephen Curry and shooting guard Klay Thompson returning at full health.

It’s not the worst idea for the Bulls to get the Warriors an injection of talent since they don’t face that team much out of the Western Conference. In this particular trade deal, the Bulls ship off WCJ along with the highly paid veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr. and their No. 4 pick in the 2020 draft.

The salary of OPJ is matched by the likes of the former Kansas Jayhawk and top overall pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2014 NBA Draft, small forward Andrew Wiggins. The Warriors also send the Bulls the second-year former Michigan Wolverines potent sharpshooting guard Jordan Poole and forward Kevon Looney with their No. 2 and 49 picks in the 2020 draft.

If this type of trade were to hypothetically play out for the Bulls, they would amass more draft capital if they want to make any other moves on draft night. The Bulls would also get their coveted opportunity to get one of the big three that includes Ball, Wiseman, and/or Edwards. The biggest cost to them would be taking on the contract of the volume scoring wing Wiggins and losing out on WCJ.

At least Winning was healthier than OPJ over the course of the last two seasons.
