1) International sleepers for Chicago Bulls in 2020 draft: Theo Maledon

The most well known name on this list among the international pool of prospects, that some might not consider a deep sleeper in this draft class, is the 19-year-old 6-foot-5 and 180 pound ASVEL point guard Theo Maledon. Depending on who you talk to, Maledon is regarded as anywhere from a projected late teens pick in the first round, to a mid-second round level pick.

Maledon won’t turn 20 years of age until next June. He is one of the younger guards in this draft class, and has some real potential. Maledon has a solid and well-rounded skill set for a modern point guard in the NBA, and should fit a certain mould for whatever team drafts him. If there is any way that the Bulls would be able to get Maledon in the second round of this draft, then he would be a steal for them.

Where the weaknesses lie for Maledon, especially on the offensive end of the floor, mostly come with his lack of strength and overall quickness. He’s not the biggest threat in transition and sometimes struggles to create his own effective shots against more athletic and capable one-on-one perimeter defenders.

Although, the two main needs that Maledon would fill at the point guard position for the Bulls lie with his facilitating and shooting abilities. He’s a good shooter (around 45 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc in EuroLeague/EuroCup). And he’s pretty effective and distributing the ball both in settled looks on offense and in transition. Maledon would be a good way for the Bulls to look if he starts falling down the board in this draft.
