3) International sleepers for Chicago Bulls in 2020 draft: Borisa Simanic

Speaking purely to promise in the NBA and incredible physical tools and length, the draft profile of the 7-foot and 205 pound 22-year-old forward Borisa Simanic looks really good. Another one of the older international prospects in this pool for the 2020 draft, some teams will likely proceed with caution in terms of targeting Simanic come Nov. 18.

Likely to fall as a mid-second round pick in this draft (maybe dropping all the way to an undrafted free agent signing), Simanic could be an excellent value find for Karnisovas and the Bulls. Simanic is still figuring the fundamentals and flow of this game out. But as he does, he continues to get more and more impressive on both ends of the floor.

While Simanic does have excellent physical tools, he’s still not using them to the best of his ability. He needs to put more size onto his frame, and just get stronger in general. He’s not taking full advantage of that seven-foot frame unless he puts on more size and contends more on offense and defense down low.

If the fundamentals, footwork, and overall decision making for Simanic continue to progress as they have in the last two or three years, he could be a very promising offensive player that also serves value down low on defense. Considering his height, he does have pretty good lateral quickness. And the shooting stroke and shot creation are two of the more special aspects of Simanic’s skill set.
