1) Most efficient defenders in Chicago Bulls history: Michael Jordan

The most notable Bulls player overall on this list is the all-time great shooting guard Jordan, that is also likely the best player in NBA history. Jordan was well-known for many things, including his scoring ability, facilitating, fierce perimeter defense, and reliability in clutch time, among many other strengths.

Jordan was the third overall pick of the Bulls in the first round of the 1984 NBA Draft out of the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program. The 6-foot-6 and 200 pound shooting guard was a 10-time NBA All-Star selection, six-time NBA Champion, three-time steals champ, five-time NBA MVP, six-time Finals MVP, nine-time All-Defensive Team selection, and the 1987-88 Defensive Player of the Year.

He played in all but two seasons of his NBA career with the Bulls. The other two came with the Wizards, before officially calling it quits following the 2002-03 season.

In his career in the regular season with the Bulls, Jordan averaged 31.5 points per game, 2.5 steals, 0.9 blocks, 6.3 rebounds (4.6 of them on defense), and 5.4 assists. He also registered a 103 defensive rating, 2.3 defensive box plus/minus rating, 58.7 defensive win shares, 3.3 steal percentage, 1.5 block percentage, and 13.7 defensive rebounding percentage.

In the playoffs, Jordan registered a 104 defensive rating, 2.3 defensive box plus/minus rating, and 12.4 defensive win shares. He was truly a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor, even if a lot of NBA fans forget about what Jordan did defensively.
