2) Best defenders for Chicago Bulls to target in 2020 draft: Precious Achiuwa

Most of the 2020 draft prospects that you will see often talked about among the best defenders in this class will be those that are going to be likely selected in the lottery. But where the Bulls can dig deeper to get a real gem find among the best defenders in this class is with the defensive efficiency from college and international prospects, along with the most gifted physically/athletically.

That’s where a team like the Bulls that has a building young core can get the most value out of a potential defensive stopper in this draft class. A good place for Karnisovas and Eversley to look potnetially in the late first or early second round of this draft is with the former Memphis Tigers five-star recruit and 6-foot-9 and 225 pound freshman forward Precious Achiuwa.

Coming into his true freshman campaign, Achiuwa was projected to be a potential top 15 pick in the 2020 draft. But an inconsistent freshman campaign combined with a pretty inefficient season offensively from Achiuwa did drop his draft stock a good bit. He played in 31 games during his freshman season with Memphis.

And Achiuwa averaged 15.8 points per game, 10.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.9 blocks. He registered a defensive rating of 82.5 (good for top five among Division I eligible players in 2019-20), 3.4 defensive box plus/minus rating, and 2.9 defensive win shares. He had one of the best block percentages in the AAC (6.2), and a very solid steal rate of two percent.
