Which 2020 NBA Draft prospects could the Chicago Bulls and Arturas Karnisovas look into that are the overall best defenders in this class?
The NBA Draft is now less than three weeks away for the Chicago Bulls, and a lot of anxious excitement awaits the decision ahead with the fourth overall pick in the lottery. Draft night 2020 is set to take place on Nov. 18, so the new look Bulls front office regime doesn’t have much more time to get their big board set.
And if the Bulls are contemplating any big draft night trade or a reach with the fourth overall pick this year, they need to get things set in the last remaining weeks before Nov. 18 arrives. Recently hired executive vice president of basketball operations (and former Denver Nuggets general manager) Arturas Karnisovas is about to face one of his first big tests this offseason with the NBA Draft.
Karnisovas will have the likes of former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan, who replaced Jim Boylen, and former Philadelphia 76ers senior VP of player personnel Marc Eversley, who replaced Gar Forman, by his side to help make decisions best for this rebuild on draft night. The Bulls definitely had plenty of time to prepare for this draft, as they haven’t played in a meaningful NBA game since mid-March.
In this draft, the Bulls have the fourth overall pick in the lottery and the Memphis Grizzlies 44th pick in the second round. What needs do they need to fill in this draft to put this team in the best position to succeed heading into the fourth year of the rebuild?
Here’s a look into three of the best defenders that the Bulls could target in the 2020 draft if they want to address any needs on that end of the floor.
