Apparently the Chicago Bulls new front office regime is really considering trading up with the Warriors or Timberwolves to get a top 2 pick in the draft.

For the first time in a while, the Chicago Bulls have a lot of hope, rejuvenation, and excitement heading into a season. And the Bulls haven’t even started this cycle of free agency, pursuing any moves on the trade block, or selecting any prospects in the 2020 NBA Draft as of yet. What’s pushing all of this excitement is just all of the seemingly positive changes to the front office and coaching staff.

There’s also still a good bit of promise left amid this young core that should be expanded given that the Bulls hold the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. The current roster also holds talented young players such as point guard Coby White, shooting guard Zach LaVine, power forward Lauri Markkanen, center Wendell Carter Jr., and center Daniel Gafford, among others, that could help to continue the shape of the direction of this franchise heading into the 2020-21 season.

But now to help chart that course, the Bulls management/ownership elected to hire former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas to take over as the lead voice in the front office. Karnisovas then promptly hired former Philadelphia 76ers senior vice president of player personnel Marc Eversley to replace Gar Forman as the general manager.

The possibility of Karnisovas and Eversley to make even more significant moves this offseason to upgrade the roster, and hence improve the outlook of this rebuild, is sure to be there. According to a report from Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago, the Bulls could move up to one of the top two spots in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.

In fact, Schaefer expects there to be a real possibility that either the Bulls or Charlotte Hornets (currently hold the fourth overall pick) to move up into the top two of the 2020 draft.

If the Bulls do want to make that move come draft night, what moves could they make with either the Golden State Warriors or Minnesota Timberwolves to get one of the top two picks?
