2) Beneficial landing spots for Chicago Bulls PF Lauri Markkanen: Denver Nuggets

The Bulls could have a new trade partner that’s alluring that could emerge in the near future with the Denver Nuggets. Since the Reinsdorfs hired former Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas (officially titled executive vice president of basketball operations) to replace John Paxson as the lead voice in the front office, the team in the Mile High City would make sense to draw some talent from.

But if the Bulls do make trade partners out of the Nuggets, then including a player like Markkanen in the discussions could make a lot of sense. Not only would the Nuggets have a plethora of interesting players that the Bulls could look into as trade targets, but Markkanen could also benefit from landing in Denver.

The Nuggets made a habit out of taking big risks on very talented players and being very patient with their development and rehab. That is true with the former Mizzou Tiger and highly coveted five-star recruit Michael Porter Jr., who finally contributed to their efforts during the 2019-20 season. Former Oregon Duck and seven-footer stretch big Bol Bol also brings a ton of promise to the table.

If the Nuggets could add Markkanen to this list, it could do wonders for both parties. Markkanen would be placed in an offense where he could space the floor and get in good rhythm with a multitude of efficient scorers and facilitators. He would be a really captivating third piece alongside combo guard Jamal Murray and big man Nikola Jokic.
