1) Chicago Bulls trade targets to watch in NBA Finals: KZ Okpala

The most underrated trade target on the list here is the former Stanford Cardinal shooting guard/small forward and Heat rookie KZ Okpala. A rookie that didn’t see the court much at all in the NBA yet would definitely be put in a bright spotlight if he makes his playoff debut in the Finals.

There might not even be a single game that Okpala plays in the Finals, but if he does he would certainly be worth a look for the Bulls. If the Heat manage to get to the point of their wing or forward rotation where they need to give Okpala minutes, the Bulls should pay close attention.

Okpala played in 26 total minutes on the floor for the Heat during the 2019-20 regular season, in five different games. He registered seven total points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block. Okpala was also 3-of-5 from the field and 0-of-1 from beyond the arc in those five regular season games played.

There’s not enough a complete enough body of work to rely on for Okpala to determine the outcome of his NBA career and/or development path. A team that needs wing depth, like the Bulls, could really use a versatile and promising potential two-way small forward like Okpala to join their growing young core.

In college with the Stanford hoops program, Okpala was a solid defender and usually a good shooter. He was continuing to work on his range, off-ball defense, and ability to facilitate the offense as a secondary ball handler and offensive creator. Those are skills that could really come in handy with the Bulls.
