2) Chicago Bulls trade targets to watch in NBA Finals: Kyle Kuzma

The biggest name on this list of potential trade targets for the Bulls to watch in the NBA Finals is certainly the Lakers young volume scoring forward Kyle Kuzma. It would be interesting to see if the Bulls new front office personnel buy into what a player like Kuzma brings to the table. If so, they might be able to buy low on him this offseason is he actually hits the trade block.

Kuzma would commonly play at the four for a team like Chicago. If the Bulls want to take out essentially an insurance policy on power forward Lauri Markkanen or just add depth to the frontcourt rotation, trading for Kuzma could be a path to getting that done.

The production Kuzma gave the Lakers during the regular season and in this playoff run up to this point was pretty shaky. His per game stats and advanced metrics took a sizable step back so far this year.

The former 2017-18 All-Rookie Team selection and 6-foot-8 and 220 pound forward (predominantly power forward) played in 61 games during the 2019-20 regular season for the Lakers. He averaged 12.8 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks. Kuzma shot 43.6 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 73.5 percent from the free-throw line.

In the playoffs so far, Kuzma played in 15 games with the Lakers (not starting in any of them). He’s averaged 10.5 points per game, 3.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks. And in the playoffs he’s shot 45.8 percent from the field, 31.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 77.8 percent from the free-throw line.
